About Baby Gear Advice

Honest baby gear reviews and real advice for new parents. Side-by-side comparisons of the models people actually buy, plus the practical stuff nobody tells you.

What We Do

Choosing a stroller is one of the biggest early purchases new parents make — and the options are overwhelming. We cut through the noise: we track which strollers parents actually rate after months of real use, which ones fold one-handed while holding a baby, and which ones quietly disappoint despite the marketing.

Every guide here answers the real question: is this worth your money? We research baby gear (strollers, travel systems, car seats) recommendations so you can shop with confidence.

How We Research

Our process draws on parent community consensus — which strollers consistently hold up after 18 months of daily use, which ones work in the real world (city sidewalks, SUV cargo space, tight doorways), and which premium price tags are genuinely worth it. We cross-reference expert testers against real BabyCenter and Reddit threads to find what actually works.

We don't pretend to have pushed every stroller around the block for months ourselves — nobody honest could test them all, and you should be wary of any site that claims otherwise. What we do is the legwork of synthesising the people who have: long-term owners, expert testers, and the parent forums where the real problems surface.

Baby Gear Advice is written by Jeff — a dad of two who's been through the stroller-buying gauntlet twice and researches this gear far harder than anyone should have to. More about Jeff →
